Head Lice Information
Our goal as School Nurses is for students to remain healthy to promote an environment that is conducive to learning. Although attendance is important to obtain this goal, there are instances when students should remain at home to avoid the spread of communicable diseases. Please keep your student home if they have a fever of 100 degrees or higher in the past 24 hours without medication or if the student is ill with repeated vomiting or diarrhea. In most instances of infection, a student may return to school 24 hours after receiving the first dose of antibiotics. Please contact your child’s school nurse if you have any questions regarding communicable illnesses.
